Hi Brave Heart,

We’ve arrived at a new month- November- a sacred doorway between endings and beginnings. If October felt heavy, emotional, or full of lessons that stretched your heart, this is your gentle reminder: you don’t have to carry that weight forward.

Today, I invite you to join me in a simple fire + abundance ritual to help you release old energy from October and open your heart to the blessings waiting to flow into your life this month.

This practice is especially powerful for those of us who are grieving- letting go doesn’t mean letting go of love; it means releasing the heaviness so love can move more freely again.

Part One: Fire Ritual for Releasing October

You’ll need:

  • A small fire pit, bowl, pot, fireplace (do this safely) or candle

  • Paper and pen

  • Sage or Palo Santo to cleanse the energy

Step 1: Cleanse Your Space
Light your sage or Palo Santo and gently move it around your space.
Say aloud or in your heart:

“I release the energy of October.
I clear my space of what’s heavy and welcome in peace.”

Step 2: Write & Burn
On a piece of paper, write everything you’re ready to release from October- sadness, fear, guilt, confusion, doubt, or even memories that feel too heavy to keep carrying.

Hold the paper close to your heart, take a deep breath breathing in love to the heart space and exhale while you whisper:

“I honor this, and I let it go.”

Then safely burn it in the fire.
As the flames rise, imagine the energy lifting from your body and spirit- turning into light.

Mantra to say as you burn:

“By fire and flame, I set this free.
What’s heavy dissolves, what’s meant for me will be.
October’s lessons I release with grace,
I welcome peace, love, and light in this space.”

When finished, take a deep breath and thank the fire for its transformation.

Part Two: Bay Leaf Ritual for November Abundance

Now that you’ve cleared space- it’s time to call in abundance.

You’ll need:

  • 3 bay leaves

  • A coin (any kind)

  • Ground cinnamon

Step 1: Write Your Intentions
On each bay leaf, write what you wish to invite into your life this month.
Examples:
“$10,000 + $30,000 + or more (make sure to include the + so you do not limit yourself 😄 )”
“Love”
“Health”

Step 2: Activate Your Intentions
Stand at your front door.
Hold the bay leaf with the coin on top in your left hand (the receiving hand).
Put a pinch of cinnamon in your right hand (the giving hand).

Say aloud:

“Abundance flows easily to me.
My home and heart welcome wealth, love, and peace.
November opens its arms with blessings for me.”

Then blow the cinnamon into your doorway- symbolizing abundance entering your home and life.

Step 3: What to Do with Your Bay Leaves

  • You can keep them in a sacred space, wallet, or altar as reminders of your intentions.

  • Or, at the end of the month, burn them in gratitude to release your wish to the Universe. I like to burn them and bury them outside in ground if I am able to.

Closing Reflection

As the fire cools and the scent of cinnamon fills your space, take a moment to whisper:

“I am ready for a new chapter.
I am open to receive.
I walk in grace, guided by love.”

Remember, brave heart- your grief doesn’t make you less powerful; it makes you softer, deeper, wiser.
This month, may your heart be your temple and your dreams your devotion.
